🔬 Local Mega Evolution Lab
Local labs serve Common and Rare creatures. Legendary creatures require a specialist institute.
Choose a creature to inspect its Mega Stones.
🧪 Stored Mega Stones
🧬 Artificial Mega-Evolution Experiments
Contained research subjects undergoing supervised artificial Mega Evolution. These specimens are lab residents, not members of your collection and cannot be captured or removed.
🥚 Mega-Evolution Egg Study
Eggs are monitored for unusual energy signatures. Their species and eventual traits are not guaranteed; the lab does not force Mega Evolution onto developing creatures.
🥚 Willow Breeding Nursery
Pair two different eligible creatures here. Parents are cared for by the nursery while breeding and are returned to your waiting list when the egg is laid. Eggs incubate as you explore; offline time does not count.
🏆 Tournament Leaderboards
Compare your tournament record with the region’s established trainers. Each round win earns 3 points; winning a cup adds 6 bonus points and a title. Cups can be entered again after earning their badge.

🌳 Wildlands Sanctuary
All habitat zones are available from the beginning. The caretaker handles routine care and habitat maintenance. Residents recover gradually and may form friendships, rivalries and familiar bonds.

Progression & economy: Willow Village Cup costs 100 coins. Fernwood Elemental Cup costs 200 coins and requires the Willow Badge. Moonlit Mega Masters costs 700 coins and requires the Fernwood Crest; its opponents use boosted artificial Mega X/Y forms. Forgotten Frontier Invitational costs 500 coins and unlocks after the Ancient Guardian is defeated. Coins are earned only after wild encounters, trainer battles and tournament battles; there are no scattered coin pickups. Trial permits cost 150 / 200 / 250 coins and require the Fernwood Crest; Stormglass additionally requires Frostpeak, and Shadowfall requires both earlier trials. Elements: Fire, Water, Ice, Earth, Wood, Grass, Lightning and Shadow have matchup strengths. Creature types: Flying, Psychic and Bug are common types; Deep Sea and Mythical are rare types. Creature types are separate from elemental affinities and do not change elemental battle matchups. Each creature has four moves; use keys 1–4 or tap move buttons in battle. Creatures can faint at 0 HP; fainted creatures cannot fight and must be healed at a camp or in Willow Village. If your whole team faints, you lose the battle and must rest before fighting again. When your team is full, every new catch goes into a waiting list (nothing is overwritten). Keep next waiting adds the oldest waiting creature, replacing your selected creature only if the team is still full. Select a roster card before releasing a team member. Visit Willow Market or Fernwood Trading Post and press E to spend coins. Both markets sell eight elemental Evolution Stones for 40 coins each. Local Mega Evolution Labs in Willow Village and Moonlit Grove sell species-specific Mega Stone X and Y for 1,000 coins each to Common and Rare creatures. Legendary Mega Evolution is restricted to the specialist institute in the Forgotten Frontier, unlocked after defeating the Ancient Guardian; purchases are stored in its inventory. The lab also houses artificial Mega-form research specimens and monitored eggs. Wildcrown is excluded; select an owned stone in the market and use it on your active creature. A stone evolves a compatible species immediately, consumes one stone only on success, and does not work on species without a known evolution chain. A Team Expansion Permit costs 30 coins and adds one team slot (maximum 8). Enter village tournaments only after paying their entry fees (Willow 100; Fernwood 200) and progress through two opening playoffs, a qualifier playoff, quarterfinals, semifinals and the final champion battle to win coins, Seed Orbs, and badges. After both cups, explore Frostpeak Summit, Stormglass Coast and Shadowfall Sanctum to complete three trials; then challenge the Ancient Guardian for the true ending. Elemental advantages increase damage; elemental resistance reduces it. Elemental progression: Common creatures begin with one elemental affinity and learn three more as they approach their final evolution stage (levels 50, 75 and 100), reaching four total. Rare creatures begin with four affinities and gain one additional element at levels 25, 50, 75 and 100; Fourfold Affinity I, II and III mark their mastery milestones, with all eight unlocked at level 100. Legendary creatures naturally command all eight elements. Any eligible non-Wildcrown creature can Mega Evolve; Mega Evolution grants access to all eight elements regardless of rarity. Creature rarity affects the pace of elemental development, not Mega eligibility. Creature rarity: Common creatures are the original species; Rare creatures carry four of the eight elements and are harder to find. Legendary species are extremely scarce, fixed biome-linked creatures: Verdantyr (deep forests), Pyrothrex (stormlands), Glacivane (ice regions), Thaloryx (deep sea) and Noctyra (shadowlands and caves). Each commands all eight elemental powers — Fire, Water, Ice, Earth, Wood, Grass, Lightning and Shadow — while retaining its own signature traits, stats and moves. Legendary creatures are exceptionally difficult to catch and must be weakened below 15% HP before a Seed Orb can even attempt capture. Wildcrown is not a Legendary creature; it is a singular Creator entity encountered only through its own story and cannot be caught with Seed Orbs. Dense forests and remote biomes have boosted odds, while coastal edges and corners contain rare deep-sea encounters. Evolution: creatures gain attack and defense as they level. Most evolve at level 50; some have a third stage at level 100. Evolution changes their name, appearance color, base stats, and keeps their learned moves. Two-stage species stay in their evolved form after level 50. Creature traits: Mossbit is balanced; Embercub hits hard; Puddlepup is sturdy; Thornlet is defensive; Glimmerfox is quick and has a better chance to dodge. Team slots: begin with 4; unlock slot 5 by visiting Moonstone Ruins, then slot 6 after defeating 3 trainers. Catching is not required to unlock slots.
